Federal officials say the suspect in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump is Ryan Routh, 58, who was born in 1966 and has lived in Hawaii, according to CNN. He has been arrested eight times, all for minor crimes. It was also reported that Routh regularly posts about politics and specifically donates to Democratic candidates, which date back to 2019. He also slammed Trump in an April 22 post in which he declared, "Democracy is on the ballot and we can't lose."
