Biden particularly appreciated cooperation on law enforcement, including through the recently announced Bilateral Contact Group on Illicit Finance and Cryptocurrencies, cooperation on new and innovative technologies, and a shared interest in reforming international organizations to reflect African voices. Previously, it was reported that on the day of Tigran Gambaryan's release, the US State Department announced the establishment of a new bilateral contact group between the United States and Nigeria to focus on cryptocurrencies and illicit finance.
