The three major U.S. stock indexes closed up and down, with the Dow down 0.2%, the Nasdaq up 1.22%, the S & P 500 up 0.49%, and most large technology stocks rising. Tesla rose more than 7%, Nvidia rose more than 6%, Meta and Broadcom rose more than 2%, and Apple fell more than 1%.
